All Your Kids Are Belong To Us! Again

Angry dad Adam Martin, 31, has now taken his three children, Harry, four, George, five and Amelia, seven, out of the school after losing all faith over the lunch dispute.

Gas engineer Adam said: “I feel like our freedom of choice has been taken away.

Yup! Because it has. And they are totally cool with it. More than that, they’re proud of it…

Milefield Primary School are proud of their decision to ban pack lunches.

Headteacher Paula Murray said: “We’re not forcing anyone.”

Yes. You are. In plain English, that’s exactly what you are doing.

“We’re encouraging the promotion of healthy eating and it’s had such positive impact and we’re only into day four of the actual programme being run out in the school. “

What ‘positive impact’? It must be utterly amazing to weigh off against the loss of choice, yet you can’t even elucidate?

“The parents have the choice of taking their children home if they don’t want them to have a school meal.

Parents where both work – away from home – don’t. So, you are indeed forcing them to accept school lunches.

“We have got to work towards what’s best for our children and a large proportion of children in the school – over 97 per cent of parents are in favour of the changes.”

‘Our’ children? They aren’t yours. And have you never heard of ‘the tyranny of the majority’?

The educational establishment stopped competitive sports. Kids no longer get the exercise that they need, so put on weight. The educational fascists can not admit that they were wrong, so come up with all sorts of excuses to cover up their stupidity. Bring back compulsory competitive sports in schools, with prizes for winners, and the obesity problem will virtually disappear.

JuliaM, my first thought was where is this head teacher getting her instructions; is she a Common Purpose graduate or just another socialist. Also what role have the school governors played in this imposition. I wonder if the parents have found places in another school for their children.

Can only underscore what you wrote Julia:

“The educational establishment stopped competitive sports.”

Really? On what planet? In any case, for many of us, competitive sport worked as a form of aversion therapy.

“Kids no longer get the exercise that they need, so put on weight.”

Nothing to do with school, more to do with multi channel TV and video games. You should also be aware that the “Obesity Epidemic” is mainly due to the use of the ludicrous BMI to declare that even thin people are overweight.

“The educational fascists can not admit that they were wrong, so come up with all sorts of excuses to cover up their stupidity.”

    See above.

They should become school governors, thus displacing a couple of “useful” idiots who must have allowed the petty-minded headteacher too much freedom to impose this nonsense.
I had a couple of disagreements with the head when my children were at primary school – the chutzpah of these little Hitlers is incredible.
