Another ‘Need’ You Didn’t Know Existed…

Maybe they do. But they don’t ‘need’ to do it at a decibel level exceeding Concorde taking off, do they?

Or is this just Leicestershire Police’s way of saying ‘Awww, we don’t want to have to come out to yet another noise complaint! Can’t you just put up with it?’

It would be enlightening for the police to describe their understanding of what they are employed to do, so it could be compared with what their employers, the taxpayer want them to do. I don’t include what the parasites in society want, I mean the normal majority who actually pay into the system. Maybe there are websites that do this but I haven’t found one.

Whenever the police on Twitter whinge at me because ‘we’re only doing what the public want!’, I wonder just which ‘public’ they actually mean..

“a decibel level exceeding Concorde taking off”

Many teenagers are like that, never mind kids. There’s nowt more annoying than screaming teenage girls in the street.

Try black teenage girls. They seem to have an extra decibel level.

I was once unfortunate enough to live in a Housing Association flat. The flat above me was occupied by a maniac who screamed abuse at the top of his voice for 15-18 hrs each day (and night), and thumped hard on the walls/floor/ceiling. The lady he shared the flat with was a “care in the community” customer. She told me that he was screaming at the characters on his X Box, behaviour which she was afraid to interfere with. The “care in the community” people weren’t interested in the obvious fact that this maniac was obviously exploiting her.
The others in the stair told me that the maniac had threatened to kill anyone who reported him (he had spent a while in prison, but we don’t know what for). Eventually the police got sick of coming round and gave up.
Our neighbours (and the ones next to them) moved away because they didn’t want their children exposed to such bad language. They were both Moslem families, and you couldn’t wish for better neighbours. The manic is British born an bred.
When I complained to the landlord I was told that no-one else had complained. I had to include recordings of the noise before they would believe me.
Thankfully I scraped up enough money to be able to move away. By that time I was reduced to 2-3 hrs of sleep between work and his shouting and screaming. he came very close to a meeting with a steel pipe. At least they let you sleep in the cells.

The damage nuisance neighbours can do to a community is never fully assessed. And they are never dealt with, just made someone else’s problem…
