More women should be brought on to the Tory party’s ruling board in the wake of the “Tatler Tory” scandal, a senior Conservative MP said today.
Bernard Jenkin called it “absurd” that just two of the board’s 22 members are female, claiming that more would prevent the “testosterone-fuelled hyper-competition” that leads to bullying.
*blinks*
He added: “Definitely it would. Most women don’t go in for this testosterone-fuelled hyper-competition. It’s why women are so repelled by politics, why it’s so difficult to tempt women into politics.
“They don’t like the chummy semi-sexist attitude that pervades so much of politics.”
Bernard, I’ve worked in female-only offices, and they were snakepits! Woman might be a bit more subtle about it, but that’s all.
Manginas abound. Jenkin just wants his testosterone-fuelled pheremones to drive the ladies into his harem.
Didn’t he go to school? Hasn’t he had the experience to notice that if boys fall out they’ll punch one another while if girls fall out they indulge in psychological warfare of the cruellest kind? Has he also failed to notice that these traits are carried into adulthood? Does this raise too many obvious questions when he’s just a pillock with a PC agenda?
I suspect he went to a single sex school!
Interesting that my post today was thinking along similar lines. I swear I did not see this in the sceduled list. 🙂
I believe you… 😉
