Vindication

…a tribunal has found Peter Hale was not racially motivated when he used the phrase “sub-continent elements” during a discussion about other doctors.

And they went a bit further than simply clearing him of the accusation. In fact, they made counter-claims about his accusers:

The panel noted the comments were made following a toxic staff meeting in which other doctors had made accusations of racism and slavery.

They said: “Whatever their grievances may have been, they were not appropriate comments to have made at that meeting.

“Their conduct at the meeting followed similar behaviour towards you and other staff members over a period of time.

“The tribunal was satisfied that against that background your comments were not motivated by racial prejudice, but rather in response to the conduct of the complainants both during and prior to the meeting.”

That’s quite an extraordinary thing to hear from a tribunal (at least, those the newspapers cover). But perhaps it’s not so unexpected as all that:

The four doctors who referred Mr Hale to the GMC had their own case for racial discrimination against the trust thrown out last year after they were found to have secretly recorded a private meeting between the trust’s lawyers about their case.

I’d be interested to know if they are still working in Brighton. Wouldn’t you?

Of course they are. Lefty Brighton couldn’t conceive of such as actually expelling or censuring racists.

It’s tiresome. They raise a case to get their own way and without an argument they throw in the race card. Such people should be fined the cost of the proceedings and forbidden from being issues to tribunal again.

While there are no consequences, there’ll be no brake on behaviour.

Hopefully once we’re out of the EU there’ll be fewer sub-continentals in the NHS.

Racism is only offensive if perpetrated by whites:- in fact, only whites can be racist.

Whilst agreeing with the overall thrust of this and the comments, sorry but ‘sub-continent elements’ is amusing. We know exactly what is meant here.

And if that was about behaviour and culture, not skin, then what does racist mean? If it means sick of their effing behaviour, then count me racist.

Then, there is the other thing or three and the above quoted example imo is part of a much wider malaise, in fact there is a cancer eating, devouring the fabric of an institution which is killing – even the few good organs….. still remaining in the NHS, furthermore: I don’t think it can be cut out and cauterized.

Prof Sir Bruce Keogh will describe how each hospital let its patients down badly through poor care, medical errors and failures of management, and will show that the scandal of Stafford Hospital, where up to 1,200 patients died needlessly, was not a one-off.

The report will also pile pressure on Labour over its handling of the NHS, with the Conservatives likely to seize on it to attack Andy Burnham, the shadow health secretary who was in charge of the NHS in England from June 2009 until May 2010.

      Dear God in heaven.

In that, most of these ‘doctors’ hailing from the subcontinent, accredited certification and therein their medical proficiency, capabilities are sometimes, of a dubious provenance.
Mainly, thanks to the religiously adherence to the fundamentalist creed of political correctness which now certainly transcends all ideas to consideration to the patients welfare being the primary concern, i really begin to wonder at this institution, namely the NHS. It exists in a vacuum of accountability and indeed responsibility, where it is beholden to no one, makes its own rules and employs people based purely on a whim, and actually the foreigner the better – as it were.

I reckon that my old GP, a seasoned practitioner of some many years and a man of deep conviction especially concerning medicine itself, morals and medical ethics, a scholarly man who was steeped in medical excellence, having the been imbued through some very in depth medical training [as all medics were in the past]. I reckon that, he’d have forgotten more than modern docs will ever know. He’d be appalled at what has come to pass and particularly at the deconstruction of medical degrees and consequently with the medical profession, more especially in the last twenty years.

The rampant, mendacious politicization of the medical professions, not least the BMA, RCN and the devils of pernicious, meddlesome offices of such as UNITE and UNISON, then witness the cover-ups of egregious examples of malpractice [ref above] – they cover up each other’s arses and in which especially with respect to Bliars nu-labour but also the Tories are, totally complicit.

In order to grant real power to the patient [the patient#!?! – who dey?]; privatize medical insurance and make hospitals compete with each other, to give power back to the specialists and disentangle – ban – the unions from all hospital campuses.

      Only then.
