Women’s Day

It’s such a pity so many western women have soured relations so much between men and women because I used to enjoy Women’s Day in Russia, the second most important day of the year, the other being New Year.

Long separated from its political overtones, it became a day when men, who did have it fairly good with women over there, were able to give back just a bit – and the women expected it of course.

I learnt many a flowery speech for the ladies and the picture on the left here shows the chivalry about on that day. Flower stalls did a roaring trade and men had to behave themselves.

Happy Women’s Day to all anti-feminist, non-self entitled, non-victimhood, non-whining, true ladies who actually love men and believe in rights for all humans, not just for themselves – we revere you this day.

So, women have mother’s day and wimmin’s day but men only have father’s day. Why isn’t there an international men’s day? Or better still why not abolish all these special privilege days. Or just ignore them which I tend to do; except mother’s day, of course.

In Russia, there is day of defenders of the fatherland, Feb 23 and it became Day of Men in a way. Thus I was feted by gangs of girls until someone pointed out that I was actually on a different team.

Due to my job, there were around 900 girls, plus maybe another 100 women and that was far too many to give cards and gifts to so I took the view that those who remembered me on the 23rd, I’d remember them on the 8th.

However, that meant some who received and most not, which with wimmin, ain’t a good thing to do. At least with Valentines Day, which they misunderstand a bit, making it a case of giving cards to anyone you liked, I made it clear that there was only one from me.

All Valentines ceased because my own gf didn’t observe it.

Grandfather’s Day (Poland) but you’ve missed it – 22 Jan 2017. There’s still time for a half share with Grandparent’s Day 10 Sept. Brought to you, no doubt, by Greetings Cards Make Us a Mint dot com.
