Portrait of a Patriot.

I had never read anything published by The Nation until this morning, but I will keep it on my reading list from now on, liberal and left-leaning though it may be. It has just published an article which might be THE most single important document, discussing THE most important letter, during the whole period from when Donald Trump first registered his intent to to run for the Presidency; to the empaneling of the Grand Jury which is supposed to investigate ‘Russiagate’.

I made specific reference to the publication of the Letter to the President within my post ‘Decisions, decisions, and no one seems to have even digested that Letter. But now, prompted by Breitbart’s link, I went to The Nation, and there to read an explosive piece of journalism, from a writer named Patrick Lawrence, who writes and comments upon the whole saga of the alleged ‘hack’ of the DNC server; of the lies, assumptions, false briefings and downright skullduggery which has been brought to bear on the Trump Presidency, and the Trump Administration.

Mr. Lawrence states, quite categorically, that ALL the statements, all the assumptions, indeed all the allegations, stem from a statement that the data was ‘assessed’ by experts. That ‘assessment’ was never checked, and grew to ‘possibilities’ and so on; until President Trump was forced to sign a sanctions Bill which crippled his ability to negotiate with Russia.

Read Mr. Lawrence’s work, and then make your own minds up whether his words, and the work of many people who prefer to remain anonymous, are the proof that Russia never came near the DNC server, and all of the allegations; of corruption, indeed of treason, are baseless, groundless, and have been shown to be a pack of lies!

It never crossed my mind that DJT was in ‘league’ with the Russians, ever.

As I pondered, I thought way back to another similar effort not totally relevant but similar nevertheless. When, the rumour mill was going into overdrive concerning the ‘climategate’ storm in a teacup, where “Russian hackers” were perceived to have ‘hacked into’ the computer servers in the UEA climate-catastrophism unit otherwise known as the CRU.

Released files and data, these excerpts were deliberately released by some insider, a someone who wished to expose the chicanery and BS going on behind the scenes and between Penn State climatalarmism factory and others besides.

Thus, a “Russian conspiracy” nicely covered up a lot of exposed arses and diluted, deflected away from the main story – that the global warming scam was just that – an fekking scam of a world wide conspiracy to pervert and bamboozled the wider world and public.

The wonks of gogglebooksnaptwatterbrain and Co its collective empire of the liberal ‘intolerance’ got to work. Next calumniating, smearing and bedaubing, President Donald J. Trump with outrageous accusations of being in cahoots with the about a larger than life figure of hate, the boy they all despise and portray to be a cross between the anti Christ and monkey man maybe, probablee a baybeee eater – President Putin – was just too good an opportunity to resist for the Black fart ops section dedicated by and of Soros-Clinton-Goldman Sachs-CNN-BBC-Berlin/brussels EU-UN and co.

and with Congress and Capitol Hill for friends ………….who needs phantom enemies all the way from Russia?

“…and all of the allegations; of corruption, indeed of treason, are baseless, groundless, and have been shown to be a pack of lies!..”

That would depend about whom such allegations are made. Aimed at the Clinton clique, their controllers, and their acolytes, such allegations would be entirely credible.

About Laurence’s article, there are a lot of comments which question the assertion that the download speed was insufficient.
The problem is that you do not know who to trust. Do you trust the anonymous ‘experts’, or do you trust commenters who seem to know what they are talking about. It seems to me that Laurence would have been well advised to get independent, named confirmation that the speeds involved were not possible.

Thanks for mentioning Lawrence’s outstanding article. Excerpt:

‘All this was set in motion when the DNC’s mail server was first violated in the spring of 2016 and by subsequent assertions that Russians were behind that “hack” and another such operation, also described as a Russian hack, on July 5. These are the foundation stones of the edifice just outlined. The evolution of public discourse in the year since is worthy of scholarly study: Possibilities became allegations, and these became probabilities. Then the probabilities turned into certainties, and these evolved into what are now taken to be established truths. By my reckoning, it required a few days to a few weeks to advance from each of these stages to the next. This was accomplished via the indefensibly corrupt manipulations of language repeated incessantly in our leading media.

‘Lost in a year that often appeared to veer into our peculiarly American kind of hysteria is the absence of any credible evidence of what happened last year and who was responsible for it. It is tiresome to note, but none has been made available. Instead, we are urged to accept the word of institutions and senior officials with long records of deception. These officials profess “high confidence” in their “assessment” as to what happened in the spring and summer of last year—this standing as their authoritative judgment. Few have noticed since these evasive terms first appeared that an assessment is an opinion, nothing more, and to express high confidence is an upside-down way of admitting the absence of certain knowledge.’
