Barbarians at the gates?

A REPORT by MPs and peers has confirmed what any sensible person has known for years, that our universities and colleges are breeding grounds for Islamic extremism.

Islamic fundamentalism is being allowed to flourish at universities, endangering national security, MPs and peers said yesterday.

Academics are turning a blind eye to radicals because they do not want to spy on students, a report claimed.

Despite “damning evidence” of a serious problem, little progress had been made in tackling the unsustainable situation, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Homeland Security said.

They urged the Government to tackle the issue on campuses with “utmost urgency”.

Such extremism “endangers our security at home and has international implications that are serious enough to threaten our alliance relationships”, said the group, which includes the former home secretary Lord Reid.

Once again the Religion of (anything but) Peace hits the headlines again and as usual for all the wrong reasons. Many in this country are beginning to view Islam as more trouble than it’s worth and sooner or later the political parties will have to deal with it, not bury their heads in the sand and pretend everything is nice in multiculty Britain. Whilst I’m sure that there are many Muslims in this country who want to simply get on with their lives and enjoy the benefits of living in the UK it is becoming more and more apparent that there is a growing core of hardliners who are hell bent on causing trouble and not integrating into our society and abiding by our laws and customs. It seems that hardly a week goes by without some sort of headline popping up where even if it’s not named Islam is at the centre of the controversy. From the organised gang led grooming of young girls, to burning poppies, (lack of) honour killings, attacks verbally and physically on our troops, to blowing up buses and tube trains, all with one common denominator linking the perpetrators and it isn’t because as the MSM euphemism goes that they are Asians, which is a direct and very nasty slur at the vast majority of Asians who aren’t Islamic.

The problem for the university academics is that they are fearful that any criticism might be met with violence or worse that they’d be accused of racism or the new buzz word Islamophobia. Multiculturalism has almost made this situation somewhat impossible to correct.

I don’t know where the idea of multiculturalism came from, oh I suppose I could google it, but I suspect it will be of the “Left” or more likely the liberal left as some sort of antidote to nationalism no doubt. The problem is that multiculturalism promotes exclusivity rather than inclusivity. It celebrates differences rather than similarities at its worst it promotes ghettoism and extremism mostly because the idiots who try to run this country made it “racist” to criticise anyone from another culture living here and instead of a country vibrant with diversity, we ended up with communities at daggers drawn because they have been either protected by the state or abandoned by it.

Had these people however been say white, English/British, Christian, heterosexual, males then I suspect the university authorities would have come down on any extremist religious activities like a ton of bricks. They’d have been charged under the Racial and Religious Hatred Act of 2006 and no doubt never allowed to darken the universities doors again.

But under multiculturalism and diversity provided you aren’t white, English/British, Christian, heterosexual, males then different rules clearly apply, they’d be safe in the knowledge that any criticism would be met with cries of racism etc.

I’m fairly sure this whole process has been deliberate and that many on the left have been complicit in its embedding in our society and consciousness. They have allowed the barbarians at the gates into the city so to speak. Rome did not fall to wave after wave of barbarians, it fell because they brought them in to do the job their people could not and once inside their values fell to the newcomers.

We have a similar problem with Islam, what we have is an ideology giving rise to so many problems in the UK because it itself is seriously problematical and has protected status in law and now it seems custom.

It cannot remain here in its current form, it will mean civil war otherwise and if no civil war it will win by default as the barbarians did in Rome.

It’s young hotheads who are ideal recruits: ignorant, excitable and greedy for power and status. I’ve seen it in teaching.

Funny thing is that when multiculturalism was called apartheid the Left were all against it.

“Many in this country are beginning to view Islam as more trouble than it’s worth and sooner or later the political parties will have to deal with it…”

Anyone who hoped the coalition would be the one to stop kicking this particular can down the road must be pretty disappointed so far. Especially since we gave Pakistan money we haven’t really got plus an apology they certainly didn’t deserve, and now look what our putative ‘ally’ has been doing all along…

Of course it’s so, even the leftists know it’s so but there are agendas, are there not? It was interesting how many Muslims won’t have a bar of bin Laden because he brings Islam into disrepute and yet so many were out on the streets cheering on 911.

Sackers is right in that it is the hotheads they groom, just as it will be young Brits out on the streets once the culture wars begin. We’re talking, I know you’re doing, QM and the average person you speak with brings it into the conversation.

I just had a lovely early lunch up town and at the next table, that’s exactly what they were talking about – bin Laden and the disgraceful immigration policy in this country which saw floods of immigrants from countries with no intention to assimilate coming in and then turning around and moaning.

I need to add that I was at a Turkish cafe and the Turkish owners were agreeing about the immigration policy – it hurts them too, established business people who’ve made good and are under the same pressure any of the rest of us are.

What I object to is that we’re being manipulated into this violence.

I actually once spoke to a white far-left (non-Muslim) Islamic-supporting woman who proudly claimed that’s what she wants – to use immigrants in order to cause a major social change in the country.

Apparently, it’s OK to slag off Middle Eastern countries as not being democracies but perfectly OK to invite many Muslims, often those who are Wahhabis here by the bucketload, while telling them that they are perfectly in the right to continue most cultural beliefs (including burqas) whilst giving them all benefits and allowing them to think that they don’t need to integrate at all with the ‘host’ country.

Muslims are being continually oppressed by the white majority, apparently, and division in order to enact major social change is a good thing.

    True story.
