Tom Paine

Frankly, the OoL admins have been a bit at a loss today what to say about this.  It’s pretty obvious what we all feel but finding the words, usually something easy for us bloggers, has been the opposite this time round.

We do feel it is within the remit of OoL to comment on Tom’s loss – he is one of us, he was recently at Stony Stratford and his blog has been a stalwart in this area of the sphere for a long time.

I suppose what we’d like to say is sorry, Tom, for this loss and remember there are many readers and fellow bloggers out here who are thinking of you, your wife and your family today.

There is always a loss in our lives when someone who we love leaves us.

Seconded. Life seems very unfair sometimes.

There are times when words sadly are not enough yet all we have. I echo your words.

Frankly, I struggled to write something here. I gave up in the end and James did the honours. Words just don’t suffice at time such as this.

Although I have already posted my sympathy on Tom’s site, I would like to thank you, James, for expressing condolences on behalf of all at OoL.

Likewise. Whilst we cannot feel Tom’s grief, we should give him all the support we can.

Same here, and what I said over at TPs seemed dreadfully inadequate. Probably everything is to an extent, but thanks James for adding something fuller on behalf of OoL.
