The bollox written about the EDL

Who are the groups most vilified by the left [from government to those calling themselves “liberal” or “progressive”]? Who has the most lies told about it?

The Tea Party, UKIP, the EDL, any of these grassroots movements, especially those from the working class lads and lasses and I’d suggest these are the true citizens of the nation. They are the engine room. And their views do not suit the Narrative in the least.

I’m not EDL but I do know that there is utter bollox being written about it. One of the biggest disappointments was the Daily Mash, which has shown its leftist credentials a few times. Another left leaning group is HIGNFY, which is a pity because I thought I liked Hislop and definitely liked Deighton.

Anyone with half a brain would know that the EDL did not scrawl across monuments. They respect monuments. That’s very much a Fascist League thing [the group who demonstrates against the EDL for Islam and couldn’t care less about England]. The reason the EDL would not do that is that they know how swiftly the Machine will pick up on any whiff of anything and spread it across the media.

Time and time again the EDL are vilified for things they do not do. I’ve seen footage of them being provoked and then someone hit back and wham – it’s EDL violence.

I’m not EDL but I’m very much against lies and the lies being spread in our society now are, quite frankly, galling.

Take it as a honour to be vilified by the left which is the media which plays the game of pretend for its real masters… Shimon Peres,Mahmoud Abbas and John Kerry meet to discuss the Palestinian problem and the four billion in aid on offer, guess who will administer the aid programme? Yes Dr Faustus himself one Tony Blair.

That is the narrative though is it not? People aren’t stupid but nor are they sophisticated. EDL is thesis, UAF is antithesis and the synthesis is violence leading to repression and surveillance for the general population.

Intense scrutiny of the leadership and guiding hands behind both organisations is the proper response.

Casual observers denouncing EDL as racist, while there may be some truth in it in the case of some supporters, also deserve derision for lazily playing into the narrative. They are as duped as the poorly educated supporter chanting E-E-EDL. It all serves to deflect attention away from the perpetrators of the crime against this country.

On a slightly related note I am reminded of the London riots and the shameful role of the police and media in increasing tensions between various groups. After the police had lost control and people were organising themselves into what were essentially militias to protect their property; shopkeepers to protect their businesses; Sikhs to protect temples etc., working class white males who patrolled their terraced house streets were vilified in the press as racists and attacked and arrested by the police. The Common Purpose inculcated response by police and media was akin to poking a stick at a dumb, wounded wild animal.

Insufferable provocation such as this will at some point result in beneficial violence for them, but the responsibility for it will be on their heads. And everyone will know it.

The EDL are hardly poorly educated, half of their membership are in full time work, almost one in five is university educated and more than two thirds own their own home.

However as James pointed out, the media bias seems to have fooled a lot of people, including yourself.

QM – I am well aware that media will focus on the least erudite to suit their agenda. It is just the point I was making. Regarding home ownership, these were the homes they were criminalised for defending while other groups were praised during the London riots, which was something I also pointed out.

Regarding poor education, EDL attracts more than it’s fair share of low educational achievers but the fatal deficit is a lack of awareness of manipulative techniques operated by the media and unseen persons. The same could be said of most UAF supporters. The leaderships should be well aware, which is why I call for scrutiny.

James I agree with you entirely, as usual. As I do QM.

It’s not clear where the leaked data came from but two hacktivist crews – ZHC (ZCompany Hacking Crew) from Pakistan and TeaMp0isoN – claim to have lifted membership lists after cracking into the EDL’s website and forum, respectively.

As an EDL admin I can assure you no member data is kept on the site, the EDL doesn’t even have a membership, come to that…

I’m surprised more EDL members AREN’T racists, as the only reason that islamic and other foreigners are lured to Britain – by bent politicians since Attlee – is to drive down the wages of the natives.

Expect more EDL parents to have their children taken into “care” in future (in Scotland every newborn child will be allocated its own social worker soon, to keep an eye open for political incorrectness.)

Thank you for your post. I got a phone-call from a mate who had protested for the EDL on London on Easter monday, he’d been injured by a UAF missile. This had been thrown over the heads of Sikhs who were there on an unrelated protests, but joined the EDL in observing a minutes’ silence for Gunner Lee Rigby after the Met forced them between the two groups.

    HORRIBLY WRONG

The EDL had a march here, and vandalised quite a few local resident cars.
    They are mindless thugs.
Their leader parades under a false identity, etc …
They & the muslim extremists are just two faces of the same unpleasant thing – fascism.

    • May 30, 2013 at 7:07 pm

Now tell me Greg, when have the EDL ever flown planes into a building, blown up tube trains and buses, beheaded soldiers, blown up disco’s, set off nail bombs in cafés, groomed underage girls, committed electoral fraud, hung gays, demanded female genital mutilation etc…
Seems you need to get a real sense of proportion here when you claim they are the same, the EDL are even apolitical, so fascist doesn’t even apply either…

Vandalised quite a few residents’ cars, eh? Liar.
