I was deeply saddened when I read the news earlier.
Almost the last of a generation that mean something, believed in something and fought for what they believed in.
When I look at this man and I look at the youngsters today and It makes me want to cry.
    God help us.
I hope he has gone to a better place and is at peace.

His earlier caper saw him aspire to an even greater one. RIP old chap. May more adventures in the next life bring smiles too.

    Dear Lord,

    Dickens had it:

“It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.”

I will salute you sir, the country is a poorer place for your demise and sad passing.

They don’t build them like that any more. And more’s the pity.

RIP, Mr Jordan – a late reminder of a great nation increasingly past.

I’m just envious that the jammy b***er pulled all those birds.

And his wife has just passed away, 8 days later. They lived in the same nursing home together.
