Diversity trumps people not being burnt to death

It’s about the NY fire department being made to “diversify” it’s personnel make-up, too many white Americans/Italians on the force.  Remember, it’s not important whether they can fight fires or not – diversity is everything:

The ‘diverse’ slate couldn’t pass written tests. Female candidates couldn’t pass physical tests. But the bar was lowered anyway and they were swept in, with predictably disastrous results.

And so it came down to Michael D. Johnson:

Michael D. Johnson won’t fight fires. Instead he stays on the sidelines as his Engine Co. 257 colleagues rush into burning buildings. Nicknamed “Tragic Johnson” by rank and file, he’s managed to evade the smoke and flames several times since joining the Canarsie, Brooklyn, firehouse last year.

The latest fright unfolded April 2 at a three-alarm blaze on East 78th Street, when Johnson’s irked captain radioed a “mayday” after discovering Johnson was AWOL, sources said. He had been assigned as “backup” to the nozzle man carrying the hose into the burning two-story building.

That left just two firefighters — the first and a third — to haul the heavy hose up a long staircase and spray water on the flames.

You can understand that.  People can get burnt in there and that would be an infringement on his human rights, as a diversity candidate.  Never mind about the building or the house or the people getting burnt inside, they are irrelevant.

Michael’s rights as a black are paramount here.

Department members are afraid to openly complain or criticize Johnson because he was hired under a court order to increase minority hiring in the FDNY.

End of the matter.  Well, what will actually happen to him?

Since he’s incapable of doing the job and he can’t be fired, he’ll be promoted.

Remember, the FDNY regularly sends its officers on “sensitivity training” courses, so that’s all right then.

Let’s all say a silent prayer of thanks for Affirmative Action.

Do you know I just knew he was Black before I read the words “Michael’s rights as a black are paramount here.” and then I got to that sentence and went! HA knew it. Lazy and entitled.
FFS would he want him fighting a fire at his house if it was on fire, and his wife and kids or his beloved momma were inside? Coz I sure as hell wouldn’t let’s hope his home never catches fire as his colleagues may just refuse to help him put it out, and serve him damn well right!

He may have a point – dark colours absorb heat more than lighter ones.

I had no idea America had fallen under the “diversity” spell – now it’s just another continent doomed to economic failure.

BTW, the first sentence is a joke.

My friend John, was dying of sepsis (a long story but NHS at fault – a biopsy infection).

I regularly visit but am not able to be there all the time. John had not been able to eat for roughly four weeks, you could tell that, his body was slowly shutting down and he was becoming so weak but as ever stubbornly refusing to seek [any medical] help.

John, has no close relations living nearby [ex wife and two sons but they were ‘washing their hands’]. Now, I ain’t a doctor but I could I had to precipitate something and in a panic I called his GP with whom I’ve had past dealings with – a African from an oil rich former British colony [probably ex nurse] with some medical training but certainly not any sort of qualified General Practitioner (a charlatan). By some miracle he rolled up in his Armani suit and expensive 7 series auto, did deign to came to see his charge, and after some totally anodyne questioning – “why aren’t you eating?” – because he couldn’t consult his computer screen – and thus was totally lost he called for an ambulance.

Oh Lord I thought, I am going to do some heavy lifting, John’s flat is at the top of some two flights totalling 40 odd stairs. After a fretful wait – Hearken, the Ambulance duly arrived and up came two puffing 30.. maybe 37 (years something) ladies sorry a FULLY TRAINED PROFESSIONAL PARAMEDICS with a chair contraption to lower the patient down the steps, as soon as they’d reasonably assessed the situation and I could read their horror struck stares, it would have been funny but for the fact that my friend was dying – and all thanks primarily down to the NHS.

I helped him down [he ain’t heavy he’s my ‘brother’], I knew it would be down to me, you see apart from John – I was the only male there, if you get my drift……………….

Now then, UK Ambulance service like all of the nation has gone equality-diversity doolally and they’ve hurrah!! got into our Fire Service too – fireman’s lift anyone?

Finally, Mother of St. bloody Paddies’ day, when are NYFB finest going to go the whole hog and have ladies climbing the ladders?

Btw, for two days until they finally diagnosed it [Sepsis] it was touch and go. At last, a blood transfusion [thank you whoever it was who donated] and he started eating – well nibbling again [Hallelujah!]. John nearly lost a kidney and had dropped 1½ st, thankfully he is a lot better these days. While he was in, I visited him twice a day for 15 days [neither son turned up the lazy feckless tossers] – the one thing that is really, really, really frustrating – in an NHS hospital: they never tell you anything these bastards [to cover their arses].

Er and this is not a secret state – the NHS owned by taxpayer for the taxpayer’s treatment [ha, ha, ha, ha, bloody ha]………. SECRET STATE – or is it? And you know what you can do with equality and diversity……………..there’s no place dark enough.

Is it a Wonderful world? Not so much.

And it makes you think. In days of a sunnier prospect, it used to be the case that if you were born in Britain – you’d won the lottery of life but after sixty years of witless Socialism and forty spent in the Empire of lowest common denominator of debasing mediocrity and Cuba and Thailand have a better run health services.
