Brexit – as long as the egos don’t get in the way

boris brexit

Even Nigel Farage’s arrogance came through yesterday, in saying he was delighted “to have Boris beside him”, seemingly meaning Boris follows the “acknowledged leader”, Nigel.

N.B. Boris follows no leader but Boris, joins no other master, he joins “Vote leave or whatever it’s called”. That’s all.

Egos really should take a back seat in this thing. Those egos are immensely useful – Boris has great clout and reach and Nigel has the arguments, he’s a consummate headkicking debater.

From each according to his abilities, to quote the enemy. But that’s it. No leaders, no jockeying for pre-eminence, no snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. And for heavens sake, know the material first before pontificating.

Before getting down to preaching.

Farage, needs to fuck off away from it and with his mate Gorgeous.

Boris, whatever you may say about the lad and there is much awry, at least he thinks, his message nuanced and more placatory – and that’s what we need.

Mostly agree, but beware knocking Galloway – despite his flaws, at a real-world electoral level, he brings ethnic votes by the barrow-load, possibly a couple of million who may otherwise not vote or obediently support the Labour Party’s ‘Remain’ line – he’s the top-notch harvester of Postal Votes, providing helpful assistance with completing all those complicated forms correctly, some even for folk who are still alive and in Britain.
Just hold your nose for a month or two and the Galloway-margin could actually make the difference between Remain and Leave – that’s surely worth a few months of a nose-peg.

Boris didn’t get a mention on the R2 news this mid-morning. Our taxpayer-funded unbiased broadcaster did mention some hanger-on of Camoron saying what a fine job he had done “renegotiating” so we could stay in. FFS
