When The Headline’s A Lie…

A county council is set to ban thousands of employees from taking smoking breaks.

E-cigarettes will also be prohibited from being used in all council buildings, land and vehicles during working hours by Nottinghamshire County Council when new rules come into force in May.

The local authority, which approved the ruling on Wednesday, said the ban was aimed at boosting its workers’ health, increasing time spent working and reducing levels of sick leave.

I mean, really..?

Well, no. Note the weasel words ‘within working hours’:

Staff who wish to smoke will be allowed to do so during their breaks and away from council property.

See? Breaks can still be taken, the workers can still smoke on them off-premises.

That’s been the case in thousands of workplaces and offices up and down the country for years, hasn’t it?

“… the ban was aimed at boosting its workers’ health…” If you believe that, you’ll believe anything.

Such actions have a two-fold purpose:-

It ensures the peasants (taxable units) become so used to the micro-management of the minutiae of their lives, actions and behaviour, that they are unquestioningly and unthinkingly compliant with any edict issued from on high.

The ‘useful idiots’ who are fronting these organisations for the real powers-that-be have their need to nanny and organise and control fulfilled.

A pox on them all and a plague on all their houses.
