Doctor Who – tell me it isn’t so!

dr who lost the plot

I looked it/he/she up:

For once, I’m so shocked, I can’t find the words to express just how bad this is, just how that show has been hijacked – a kids’ show by the way, and wrecked beyond all recognition.

Years ago, it was believed that Tilda and her baby-daddy John Byrne had an “open relationship” and that they still lived together while Tilda took Sandro as a lover and Byrne took a lover too. But I think that situation was either temporary or gossip-wishful-thinking. At this point, I believe Byrne lives with some new woman and Tilda lives with Sandro (somewhere? Her home planet?) and Tilda and Byrne share custody of their kids.

This is worse than that Ellen Degenerate they actually accept on TV without locking her up. Shows how far taste, decency, just living as a human being has sunk on the left. Were this just another lowlife cast in a film, then OK – I don’t have to watch it and those with poor taste can watch it to their heart’s delight.

But this isn’t just a film. Doctor Who, the show is a national icon which has made it in America and this act is just rubbing the nose of Doctor Who fans of old into slime. I mean, at least if she looked halfway feminine it would be only half bad.

This is the far left, possibly in reaction to the way politics have gone of late saying OK, see if you can handle this … and trashing the show until it’s unrecognizable.

At least if you MUST have a female in the male role, make her a proper woman. Why on earth not have Scarlett Johansson, tramp and anti-monogamist though she is. And I mean, if they must have an occupant of the infernal regions, why not Gaga? Her Superbowl showed she could actually perform like a human, though she lost it at whatever those awards were last week.

And this is fine for kids, is it?

If you’ve nothing positive to say or contribute, why don’t you just go away?

Errol, we’re monitoring it. When it slides into just gainsaying and adding nothing, that breaches blog rules. We might discuss that sometime soon.

Interesting comment by Twisted Root: “You have been caught by the anchor thrown out yesterday, that creature who was posited. Now a pretty little thing seems acceptable.”

That’s so. They put up someone horrendous and then when everyone is horrified, out comes a “less bad” female candidate, we breathe a sigh of relief and voila.

The programme started becoming political (leftward leaning) towards the end of David Tennant’s Dr. It became worse with the child man Smith and the Blair clone Capaldi. My view is still that Kim Kardasshian become the next Dr, and we can safely say the programme is a load of a*se.

Stopped watching after Tom Baker’s departure.

Penseivat – yes, in the reboot. It was already showing signs in the storylines.

With the original, Ted, many buffs say the advent of John Nathan Turner killed it. Hinchcliffe was the last good director back then.

I like Tilda Swinton, and if she’s in the running, it can only be a good thing. Could be worse, after all. Could be Dawn French!
