…and the vote for Herr Juncker is….?

Every so often, the entire European Union bureaucracy leaves the coffee bars and restaurants of Brussels, and takes a trip to Strasbourg. No-one quite remembers why they haul all the paperwork, computers, people, Parliament; 28 States missions; the entire caboodle across France to Strasbourg: but they do. It isn’t a very popular ritual, but hey, the French like it (lots of coffee, booze and food in Strasbourg), so, it continues.

But, sometimes, the peasants in the Parliament demonstrate that they don’t really appreciate having to drive 436 kilometres, or a lot further by train, or, if you are in the top slots, by air; just to make the Frogs content.

So you get this as a definite thumbs-down for Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission.

Considering the EU parliament is utterly pointless, the president an unelected bureaucrat, the comission a dictatorship of failed politicians who would bother turning up at all?

They’re all a bunch of pointless troughers. We would be better off with the lot of them disbanded and sent home – paying for it themselves, for a change.
