“Grave Scandal”: along with the rest of the utter verbal garbage

After the mass at Dublin’s Phoenix Park, and after wittering on about the ‘Grave Scandal’ of sexual abuse by Catholic priests; Pope Francis will depart on his chartered jet, having dispensed, as far as can be known, the minimum of sorrowful platitudes and a self-serving apology, aimed at the media. Not, it must be affirmed, aimed in any way at those who so desperately needed to hear some form of true sorrow over the decades of criminal sexual abuse handed out on an industrial scale, by  a good proportion of the Irish Catholic priests and nuns who were so trusted with the spiritual and corporeal well-being of their children. Over the years, the sordid truth emerged about the Magdalene Laundries, and the slave labour regimes held against the young women, whose only ‘crime’ was that they had borne a child outside wedlock. We also learned about the Baby farms, otherwise known as the Foundling homes, from where thousands of tiny children were routinely exported towards America for adoption. America, the land of the Almighty Dollar, where the American Catholic Church wallowed in the cash generated. But the worst was when we learned of the systematic cover-up of hundreds of cases of Catholic Priests who had sexually abused young children over literally decades, and; because of the shame and mental torture inflicted upon these youngsters, they rarely spoke or complained; sometimes for decades. Because when they did speak up, they were usually ritually humiliated with disbelief, because who could believe that a ‘Man of God’ was capable of such atrocities. The Church hierarchy, from Monsignor to Bishop to Cardinal; consistently and routinely denied all knowledge of the savage abuse, and equally routinely transferred the guilty perverted scum, masquerading behind clerical dog-collars, to a new, unsuspecting parish where they could continue their evil practices.

Ireland was indeed shaken to its very core because the whole Nation was suddenly awoken to the very real fact that there had been TWO Governments; the secular Irish government, with the elections, ministers and State departments: and also the invisible hand of the real Government, otherwise known as the Roman Catholic Church. From the largest cathedrals to parish churches, the agents of the Invisible Government, under the guise of priests, monsignors, bishops and archbishops; laid the law down, and ensured that THEIR words were taken and observed ahead of anything promulgated by the Dublin Government. Ever more cash was demanded for tithes to the church, and the beady eyes of those priests ensured that those who did not give were noted and berated. Birth control, contraception were deemed a mortal sin, children and yet more children were the only results of a ‘good marriage’, and yet when the ignorant and uneducated Irish girls and women became pregnant outside of marriage, the response was to herd those ‘outcast’ pregnant girls and women into the Magdalene Lines.

On Saturday, Francis again acknowledged a “grave scandal” and “repugnant crimes”; but we have yet to hear a single statement, from the most powerful Catholic in the world, which goes even part of the way to restore faith in the whole idea, the very process; of a Church which has so grievously sinned against the very ones which it was supposed to protect.

We read a few days back, of the abuse lasting over SEVEN DECADES, within the Pennsylvania Diocese, where literally hundreds of priests committed thousands of crimes against children, and that sexual abuse was both known about and covered up, from the very top, inclusive of Bishops and Cardinals! We learn of an Cardinal being accused of serious sexual molestation from FIFTY years ago, and the protection afforded that man which allowed his continued ascent to the very top of that religious slope.

Just a week ago, a brand-new Cardinal from Mexico  has suggested that victims who accuse priests should be “ashamed” because they too have skeletons in their own closets. Those who “accuse men of the Church should [be careful] because they have long tails that are easily stepped on,” said Cardinal Sergio Obeso Rivera according to a report.. This from a man who has just been elevated to the College of Cardinals by the Pope.

The World Meeting of Families is expected to announce its estimate of the attendance later, a spokesperson said this afternoon. 500.000 were supposed to attend. Less than 130,000 turned up to watch Pope Francis celebrate Mass.

Seems like the Catholic Irish have finally got the Message.

    Mike, it’s even worse:

There are other reports on YouTube providing evidence that the Roman Catholic church is riven with homosexuality and it has been promoted by leading clerics.

The link above shows that Pope Francis won’t even answer questions about archbishop McCarrick in the USA. He’s full of Godless emptiness, it’s no wonder no one wants to see him or listen to him.

There is an interesting piece on American Thinker about this. It does appear that the Roman Church has been infiltrated. Though I can’t make up my mind whether it has been infiltrated by Christians or Communists.

Reeligion has always proved to be the most destructive force man has ever invented.

From the time the oldest man in the village started the oral tradition of telling the tribe how to survive floods, plague, famine and drought some scumbag wanted to control that information and restrict it, making him more powerful then the old man.

Once this git started writing down the tribal surival guide he embellished it, made up stories around it and invented a heap or horrors to secure his control over the growing tribe. Once he had sufficient control, his fortresses built to intimidate; he continued to tell people how to live and set about destroying the opposition of native myths and harmless nature worship.

The great evil of religion then set about trying, desperately to retain control over his world against the greatest enemy he has ever faced: science, reason and fact. His invented lies of what happened to those who brought such terrors were spouted over and over – livers pecked out, men burned alive forever, daemonic posession.. all debunked but not before millions suffered for it, and mankind held back 5, perhaps 600 years by supersititous fools wedded to a lie wielded by vicious, nasty control freaks dressed in robes to set themselves apart as special.

In the West Christians mostly grew up and turned the power grab into a harmless social event, but there still exist generations weaned on the utter, complete fiction of ‘god’. Just look at the middle east: power hungry, greedy, nasty men run it in the name of a fictional invention but they can’t let go, so simply make things worse for everyone to sustain their influence demented, brainwashed, frightened yet destructive acts of terrorism against the innocent.

Religion is the most revolting, destructive thing man has ever invented.

Religion is part of human nature. If people’s need for the non-rational is not channelled into a healthy religion like Christianity (notwithstanding these recent aberrations of Catholicism, largely the consequence of infiltration of in the wake of Vatican II), it will turn to the unhealthy like Islam, SJWism, etc.

The late Michael Crichton once described the religious aspects of environmentalism:

Today, one of the most powerful religions in the Western World is environmentalism. Environmentalism seems to be the religion of choice for urban atheists. Why do I say it’s a religion? Well, just look at the beliefs. If you look carefully, you see that environmentalism is in fact a perfect 21st century remapping of traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs and myths.
There’s an initial Eden, a paradise, a state of grace and unity with nature, there’s a fall from grace into a state of pollution as a result of eating from the tree of knowledge, and as a result of our actions there is a judgment day coming for us all. …
Eden, the fall of man, the loss of grace, the coming doomsday—these are deeply held mythic structures. They are profoundly conservative beliefs. They may even be hard-wired in the brain, for all I know. I certainly don’t want to talk anybody out of them, as I don’t want to talk anybody out of a belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God who rose from the dead. But the reason I don’t want to talk anybody out of these beliefs is that I know that I can’t talk anybody out of them. These are not facts that can be argued. These are issues of faith.

The Eden>Fall of Man>Promise of Grace story fits other political causes, particularly separatism. Separatists (Scottish, Irish, English, Welsh, Catalan, etc.) claim that everything was rosy until X (Sassenachs, Brits, Jocks, etc.) came but paradise will be regained with getting rid of X. And trying to have a rational discussion with the average separatist is impossible—because one is arguing with someone’s faith not political stance.

As the famous epigram of G.K. Chesterton goes: ‘When a man stops believing in God he doesn’t then believe in nothing, he believes in anything.
The truth of Chesterton’s axiom can be seen in the increasing numbers of native Europeans, raised in the post-Christian West, turning to Buddha, Satanism and Islam.

Nor is it just environmentalist politics that take on the aspect of substitute religions but other causes as well. As one explicit example, there is Trotskyist Isaac Deutscher unironically titling his three-volume hagiography of Leon Trotsky: The Prophet Armed, The Prophet Unarmed and The Prophet Outcast.

Even atheism for some ever more resembles a religion: what is putting adverts on buses if not spreading the ‘gospel’. There is the smugness of many an atheist, who thinks himself better than a Christian just because he doesn’t believe. There is the way that some atheists insert their non-belief into every corner of existence, boring the hell out of normal people—gulag returns 3.5 million results for the term ‘atheists sue’, and there’s not that many false positives:
‘Atheists sue over Ten Commandments monument’
‘Atheists sue shelter for using Catholic priest to “bless” animals’
‘While a town remembers World War II veterans, atheists sue to stop it’
‘Atheists sue for right to perform marriages’ (What? They can have a civil ceremony, no church required—oh! They want their own atheist ceremonies, an atheist marriage ritual.)
Although given how specifically and virulently anti-Christian some atheists are, should perhaps just term them ‘Antichrists’.

(I erred in stating ‘3.5 million results’—left out the closing quotation mark; the properly enclosed phrase returns around 88,300, more than enough to support the contention of a passing stormfag that ‘Atheists are the most whiny, faggoty people on the planet’ (from the gulag description on a result regarding a threat of an atheist lawsuit causing a Christmas toy drive to be cancelled).)

Something else in favour of Christianity: even those monarchs who believed in the ‘Divine Right of Kings’ in so doing were humbly acknowledging the existence of a being higher than themselves and who they would have to answer to, post-mortem, for every action and inaction. Thus Charles I was not only a champion of justice and liberty compared to any 20th Century dictator (or 21st Century elected leader) but also compared to the hypocrite and regicide Cromwell who became king in all but name, instituted the Rule of the Swordsmen, and sowed the seeds of a bitterness in Ireland that lasts to this day. In contrast, an atheist believes in no higher being than themselves (narcissistic) and fears no post-mortem justice (one less constraint on behaviour as it is only a matter of getting away with it).

Christians also build for the ages. In the clearest possible demonstration of exceptionally low Time Preference, cathedrals would regularly take decades, even generations to build. E.g. Cologne Cathedral: building first started in 1248 and it was not completed until 1880. Durham Cathedral took 40 years; the original Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow, 44 years; Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia was started in 1866 and is still to be completed; Missouri’s Saint Louis Cathedral took 19 years but planning began decades prior to building starting, by Archbishop Peter Kenrick who was in his 60s at the time—IOW, he knew he was unlikely to see it completed and died before building began.
        Low Time Preference.

To be atheist (at least of the fundamentalist kind) is to reject 1700 years of Christian European civilisation. Our society, our laws, morals, literature, music and science are all rooted in Christianity. Any who have any appreciation for Western mores and achievements must value the contributions of Christianity, even if unbelievers in their daily lives.
Europe’s rise is written in the terms of Christianity and Monarchy, Europe’s decay in the terms of Republicanism, “Progressivism,” and Godlessness.’ (von Kuennelt-Leddihn, Erik Ritter. The Menace of the Herd: or, Procrustes at Large. Milwaukee, 1943. 122.)

While it can be argued that there are successful non-Christian societies, what have secular societies given us?
Stalin’s USSR: est. 20 million deaths.
        Mao’s China: 65 million.
Pol Pot’s Cambodia: 2 million (out of approx. 7.1m population—28%).
And in the modern post-Christian West: over 8.7 million infants killed in the womb in the UK since abortion’s legalisation in 1967—while known terrorists and convicted murderers live a life of relative ease courtesy of the taxpayer until eventually dying peacefully of old age in their beds. The destruction of the traditional family. The promotion of all manner of deviancy to children. Rampant crime. Selfishness. Untrammelled greed. Social atomisation. Entitlement without concomitant duty. Our Western societies committing ethnic and cultural suicide.

Secularism has given us Hell on Earth.
