The True Consequences Of Leniency And CPS Laissez-Faire….

2016:

A terrified mechanic feared he would be left blind after an angry customer sprayed bleach in his eyes.

Malloy was originally charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm but his guilty plea to actual bodily harm was accepted.

The 26-year-old father also admitted affray and having a bladed article and offensive weapon.

Malloy, of Springvale Caravan Site, Springhead Road, Northfleet, was jailed for three years.

2019:

A thug who repeatedly ran over a woman has been jailed for 10 years.

Patrick Molloy, of Spinrghead Road, Northfleet, intentionally used his car to knock the woman down before reversing over her body twice as she lay injured in May last year.

He pleaded not guilty to her attempted murder.

Following a three week trial at Woolwich Crown Court, the 29-year-old was found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent and criminal damage and was sentenced today.

Another savage crime, another lesser charge just to get a ‘win’. This is not justice.

    Charging for a lesser offence has been a long standing policy for the Criminal Prosecution (Protection?) Service.
    They have targets to meet and budgets to keep to so, in their eyes, doing this is a win/win situation. The criminal is delighted, the defence brief is delighted, and the only person who isn’t is the victim, but they don’t count as they are considered just a statistic and not a person. Ally that with CP judges who are lenient in their sentencing, and the fact that a custodial sentence is halved, for ‘good behaviour’, as soon as the prison van goes through the gates, more or less shows that there is little connection between the law and justice.

    Interesting that, over the passage of three years, the address is now PC edited to omit the telling phrase “Springvale Caravan Site” – must protect the oppressed minorities from confirming in public what we already know in private.

    At least he was jailed for 10 years. A friend of mine was deliberately knocked down, along with a friend of his. You can read the story here – and see CCTV footage of what happened;

    The ‘permatanned’ driver was given a 4 year sentence. Clearly the higher in the ‘protect characteristics’ hierarchy you are the more lenient the sentence.
