It seems to me that May & Co’s strategy is delay with a view to getting some popular positive affirmation/passive assent to overturn the result of the Referendum. We should use this Fabian approach to our advantage and re-couch our arguments and language to persuade our opponents rather than reconfirm our supporters’ view.
There must be an element of the Remainers that is amenable to reason and perhaps needs to be gently disillusioned re the EU – for example the notion that the EU has kept the peace in Western Europe has to be contrasted with its growing militarism and Russophobia (I’ll have a go, but your military experts could probably do it better.)
We should avoid the temptations of “we won” “17.4 million” crowing and the denigration of Remainers, so that more can be won over and the plot for a second referendum can wither as its prospective outcome becomes unattractive to the Ollygarchs.
And no more easily exploded targets like the “NHS bus” trick that has been endlessly used by Remainers as “proof” that the Referendum was won on “lies”.
