Lots of so-called experts have climbed on to the so-called Measles Epidemic, calling for mass vaccinations to prevent this ‘terrible scourge’ from spreading further into the unvaccinated children,, and many more have climbed on the ever-more vociferous denunciations which target those who preach against the ‘Settled science’ of multiple effect or (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) vaccinations.

As I am definitely no medical expert, I have to rely on the published and accepted evidence of medical practitioners and scientists, and have also to take in the published results of surveys which sought to disprove the findings of those, such as Dr. Andrew Wakefield; who posited that there was a direct correlation between MMR vaccinations and autism in certain of those children vaccinated  by this (MMR) vaccine. Dr. Wakefield’s thesis was attacked from all angles, despite his statements otherwise, here in the UK, his research was stated to be false, and riddled with error, and he was disbarred from medical practice in Great Britain & Northern Ireland.

The practice of vaccination has been accepted as scientific fact for centuries, after Edward Jenner proved, in 1796, that an weak injection of cowpox overcame a smallpox infection in a young girl. But it is indeed a long stretch from a weakened strain injection of a similar disease, to the multi-tested, meticulously-tested drug regimes of today. With literally millions vested in the sales of MMR vaccine products, the huge pharmaceutical giants obviously reacted with speed to frustrate and deny the statements of theories of Dr. Wakefield, and to a large extent succeeded, as he was forced to relocate to the USA.

But, strangely; no-one has come forward to assert that autism, and the prevalence of that condition in youngsters who have received this powerful drug cocktail is entirely disassociated. Better if Dr. Wakefield had set aside his small test survey, and instead concentrated on the fact that autism numbers had increased substantially during the time that the MMR vaccine had superseded the initial single doses of targeted vaccines against individual diseases. It is not beyond the comprehension of those untrained in medical practice to accept that the sudden heavy viral overload, produced in very young children when given the MMR vaccine, is sufficient to produce change in that young, still forming body: which would not have occurred if the vaccines had been given in the old, well-proven, single vaccine method.True, many parents found the constant appointments for the single vaccinations tiresome, and time consuming: but what if it were proven that the MMR vaccines were literally too powerful for some young patients’ systems to absorb without a reaction; and that reaction was to result in the formation of autism in that unsuspecting child’s body and mind?

Just asking!

After Wakefield, I doubt if there’s any research funding available for what is still an emotive subject.

I agree with your point about overloading a young immune system – after much resistance from the GP, my daughters had three separate vaccines, spaced out over several months.

And now newborns receive a cocktail mix of drugs of unknown and unrevealed substances these days, whereas it was just “vitamin” K given when they were born.

Where in the world would a child contract Mumps, measles, and rubella at the same time? but the MMR vaccine gives it to the child with a shot of Thimerosol (mercury) as well.. The AMISH religious sect in the US will not allow vaccines, strange but Autism is one thing they do not suffer from. Mona, you have made the point for me, what is in the vaccinations? I have read that they are a concoction of all sorts, not just Mercury ( if that alone wasn’t bad enough). Same with dental fillings – why does the NHS use Mercury in their filling material?

Why can’t parents opt for single vaccinations? Why can’t parents opt out of vaccinations for their children? Why can’t parents decide to postpone vaccination until their children are older and their bodies more developed? What don’t parents have full legal rights over their children?

There is so much money invested in such a globally supplied vaccine, that to admit the slightest issue could be catastrophic to the business supplying it.

So instead of accepting there may be a very slight risk of side effects regarding MMR or similar mass vaccines, they double down; shutting down debate and lobby governments to issue legislation to force vaccinations.

Common sense says no medicine is absolutely 100 percent safe, but the way the big pharma companies act, you’d think that was what they were saying, especially if they are forcing vaccination via legislation. I see future lawsuits against government initially because they wouldn’t fold under the onslaught, unlike a corporation.

My own personal opinion is there is a correlation in a very small number of cases (small enough not to be provable under scientific laboratory testing but large enough to cause significant anecdotal evidence out in the field) and the pharma corporations should be looking into the causes and risk factors in order to make the vaccines even safer. But to accept the smallest iota of risk would open a can of worms of crippling lawsuits.

If you really follow the science, there have been massive epidemialogical studies on the connection between the MMR vaccine and autism, with no connection found.

Wakefield was at least dishonest, and did not even follow minimal IRB guidelines when testing children. He also just happened to have an alternative version of the vaccine ready when he published. I suppose that the conspiracy crowd will use that as a reason in his favour.

Dear Voice of Reason, I have a friend who’s son aged 17 with severe autism, at the age of three she was pestered to have him vaccinated she gave in and within seven days he started to show the classic signs of autism, if it is safe ask for an insurance of a million pounds against vaccine damage for your child. you won’t get it why? because it is not safe. I have followed the science try critical thinking VoR . Galileo narrowly escaped being burnt at the stake for heretical scientific statements, while we are at it look up Dr Tullio Simoncini on You Tube a cancer heretic. WARNING do not mess with big Pharma, all the best

MMR, I believe it should be one at a time – allow the infant’s developing immune system to deal with one crisis and recover before tackling the next.

    Me: I predate MMR, didn’t have M but had M & R – I’m alive.
