Nothing To See Here, Move Along…

A knifeman shot dead in central London last weekend after he allegedly threatened officers with twin 10-inch blades has been named by the police watchdog.

About time!

The press has been suspiciously quiet on this, and with Wuhan Flu occupying all front page webspace it’s not really been noticed.

Hassan Yahya, 30, was killed in Westminster on Sunday night after three Tasers were fired in an incident which has not been treated as terror-related.

Really? That can only mean he’s a known mental case who the police and other authorities have had dealings with before…

Yahya acted suspiciously near the Royal Festival Hall, where he was cautioned by two Ministry of Defence police officers.

He did not stop, and they radioed for back-up after firing one Taser.

Metropolitan Police fired another Taser when he entered Northumberland Avenue. A third was fired before he was shot dead by a City of London officer.

Three police forces, three tasers, two large knives, in the heart of the capital, but it’s ‘not terror related’..? And that’s supposed to be reassuring?

3 taser shots and he was not stopped? That can only mean all three missed him, as no-one can remain standing up whilst being shocked – it causes uncontrollable loss of muscle control (among other effects).
Still, at least the police are now getting tough and are authorised to shoot to kill these cretins.

I think the media has, as usual, pushed the idea of Taser as a magic weapon. In truth, failed Taser shots aren’t uncommon – a thick jacket is enough.

Casting aside the bleeding obvious for a moment. If this is not terrorist related an the man was shot dead the lesson to be learned is not to take a knife to a gun fight. Where does that leave us, the disarmed population? We are completely at the mercy of criminals, terrorists and government agencies. I don’t know what’s coming but it’s coming fast and it’s heading right for us.
