Aren’t You Meant To Be There To Deal With ‘Public Order And Confrontation’ Then?

A lockdown street party in Manchester where two men were later shot dead was “unachievable” to safely disperse, said police.

Good grief, who’s teaching them riot control tactics, Homer Simpson?

Senior officers opted not to break up the party as people crammed into a residential courtyard, although police admitted they had taken calls from concerned members of the public between 10pm and midnight.

You mean, taxpayers?

Superintendent Mark Dexter said: “A decision taken last night in respect of the event that was unplanned was that it would be unachievable to safely disperse given the nature of the event and the people that were present and the numbers.

“We have to consider the risk of public disorder and confrontation with people at that time of night.”

I thought that’s exactly what you were paid to deal with? If all you’re going to do is pick the low-hanging fruit, perhaps it’s time to reconsider salary levels…

He added that police received no intelligence that a serious incident could happen.

Police having ‘no intelligence’. Now that I can at least believe.

At the start of a local rave on private land, close by where I live, the four Police officers on duty were sent to try and close it down. Of course, they were vastly outnumbered, but one of the officers told them they had arrested 2 men for drugs offences, who had claimed to have coronavirus and had been mingling with the crowd, including the two djs, intending to pass the virus on. If true, this could mean that they are already infected and are infecting those close to them, or they could be being infected by them, in which case they may wish to consider their health over listening to the music.
Most of those present, including the djs, left very soon afterwards, eventually followed by the rest.
Thinking outside the box sometimes works.

Wait till Tommy Robinson throws a party, mass arrests?. the police using such strange words for them such as “Intelligence” totally out of character for a police officer to use (have) it.
