Likes his pint does Nigel – this is the pleasant side of this whole lockdown bullying coming from above, centrally planned, controlled, designed to keep people on edge:
Today I went for my first proper pint in 103 days. Those who didn’t should cheer up a bit! pic.twitter.com/545r69HdSe

That’s one story and while that’s disrupting ‘normal’ life, a quick reflection on what things were like in 2011, when OoL was born.
In 2011, Brexit dominated but so did libertarianism, the divide was Statist versus libertarian, this site was libertarian. Mixed in were classical liberals, the sphere I came from and they tended to the centre-right, yet we could all agree that the State must stay well out of our lives, there was a strong smoky-drinky element to our numbers.
The scene has very much changed and it’s no longer ‘State’ [as in Blair or Cameron] versus people but hidden and overt global agendas with organised and funded militias versus the ordinary person:
That was Antifa militia marching on Stone Mountain in the US – the US far quicker to do these things and so ostentatiously, the better footage is often from over there, so immediate.
When I say it’s changed, I mean only in the perceptions of the public – a glance at my early blogging shows that what we’re railing about in 2020, I for one, plus others, were railing about in 2006 and being ignored – the issue was a deep state, a global Them, highly organised and deep funded, their aim being the overthrow of all institutions, the march through the institutions one by one.
I’d bore people in those days with quotes by Senator Jenner in the States from 1954 where he laid this out clearly:
Feb. 23, 1954 – Senator William Jenner of Indiana says before the U.S. Senate: “Today the path to total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by Congress, the President, or the people. We have a well-organized political action group in this country, determined to destroy our Constitution and establish a one-party state. It has a foothold within our Government, and its own propaganda apparatus.
One may call this group by many names. Some people call it socialism, some collectivism. I prefer to call it ‘democratic centralism.’
The important point to remember about this group is not its ideology but its organization. It is a dynamic, aggressive, elite corps, forcing its way through every opening, to make a breach for a collectivist one-party state. It operates secretly, silently, continuously to transform our Government without our suspecting the change is underway. This secret revolutionary corps understands well the power to influence the people by an elegant form of brainwashing.
And the way they do it is through education and broken families, which produces this:
… and this:
… such that ordinary people, from working class to high bourgeoisie, see something’s going wrong, and through lacking knowledge on it, put it down to bad appointments, without really analysing why such appointments were made in the first place.
We know here in our sphere because we’re in the political social media, all of us reading this – blogger, vlogger, tweeter, reader, watcher – we have a sense of history and precedent, unlike the feckless kid on Cv home leave.
Coming back to Jenner in 1954, when I quoted him in 2007 and also showed Yuri Bezmenov on this whole biz of demoralisation, this was described by the ignorant as whackjobbery, one of the left libertarians here at OoL even called me a Tory. Tory? Really? As in Heseltine and Major? Try classical liberal radical.
There’s a gorgeous naivety to the left, a goodheartedness which is easily manipulated into violence – you saw the picture of the rioter with the t-shirt saying, ‘Love everyone’.
In 2011, if someone had bothered exploring William Jenner and that interview with Yuri Bezmenov, he’d have found something very interesting. Jenner was a member of the McCarthy push – yes, the vilified Joe McCarthy who wrecked any attempt at stopping the deep agenda – and yet he was correct to oppose it as it turned out, his methods were the issue.
G Edward Griffin was the interviewer of Bezmenov – he was John Birch Society – you see where this is going. Far right these people were called by the far left for daring to oppose them.
There was the curious case of Bogie and Bacall, two left-liberals – and she remained so throughout her life, despite what she’d seen – they attended the trial of a communist on the other side of the country, one of their mates who’d been so personable and correct in his outrage against the State, but when he was convicted, the mask fell off and the bile came out, total scumbag of a human – it appalled Bogie and the two scurried back to Hollywood.
Did it change Bacall? Not in the least – she never, ever learnt. Cognitive dissonance. He did though.
Here’s a question – who really does support liberty? It’s certainly not the duped left, of which I was one at university, member of the Fabians and an anarchist at the same time, plus a young conservative, but never in the manner of Obama’s mentor Bill Ayers and similar bombers such as Bader Meinhof. The darling of all on the left – Che Guevara – do you know his history? Readers here would.
“Come gather round people wherever you roam …” sang Bob Dylan, Zimmerman, and he went on:
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agein’
Yeah? It’s right there in the lyrics, the agenda.
The deep state of course is committed to violence and coercion to control the population [see Heinrich Hancock, Jackboot Jacinda and that prat Ferguson], no question there but the Weathermen [Ayers etc.], were the violent ones each day, Al Sharpton, that girl who kicked a horse to unseat weak Plod, the professor with the bicycle chain, so full of hatred for us, the people, for opposing the agenda.
Do you feel ‘far right’ with your elevenses this Sunday?
In short – these kids have all been sold a pup – here’s what American Digest wrote the other day about them:
We have before us quite possibly the most pampered, ill-mannered, ignorant, and arrogant generation in Western history. Notice how many “protestors” seem to have no problem festooning themselves with costly tattoos and gym clothing, and nesting in highly expensive and tony metropolises such as New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and London. Many, if not most, seem to engage in no-known labor, but have the time and resources to flap around, preening and playing at revolution, while, as noted, recording themselves on their pricey “smart phones.” Not the grubbysans-culottesof1780s France–not even close – these mobsters are well-fed, nicely clothed, healthy and wealthy cretins–better said, highly privileged and violence-prone cretins, bird brains, you know, ravens.
And of course – the complicit media at every step – Z Man speaketh:
A good example of the power of mass media to warp the truth is how the phrase “herd immunity” was quickly turned into an epithet. Even now, alarmist sneer about herd immunity as if it is voodoo. The fact is, the way forward for this thing was always going to be reaching an infection level that slowed the spread of the disease. The only question was how quickly it could happen, without creating problems in the health care system like shortages and overcrowding.
Complete accident? Happened just like that out of nowhere? Hardly. Are you aware that Lucille Ball was the head of a communist cell, rather than the loveable and kooky gal she was presented as? So was Arlene Francis’s husband on What’s My Line in the 50s.
I’m sure those reading this are well aware of all of the above or at least are interested enough to find out – how about those out there who’ve never been to social media except on snapchat and whose world is Netflix and Sky News? These are the ones this post is directed to and yet you’re doing the reading, they’re not, they will continue exactly what they are doing.
Bad people? Of course not. Badly informed? Yes.
So convinced that they’re on the side of good, when in fact they’re working for the bad, unbeknowns. And the nasty, perma-angry oldies snuffed out by young nurses in hospitals and sent back to care homes? On the side of bad or good?
